VAT back to 6% as of 1-7-2012

Last year the government decided to raise the VAT on culture from 6% to 19%. Exactly one year later this decision will be reversed. As of 1-7-2012 the VAT on culture will be back to it's original level: 6%

What does this mean? For private parties, schools and organisations who can't deduct or reclaim the taxes this means saving 13% on the total costs. We are very happy with this devellopment for our clients.

Not all our services will fall under the 6% rule: attractions do not fall under the "cultural" VAT rule and will stay at 19% as the've always been. Just like pinatas, balloondecoration, and rental equipment.

Costs for the birthdayparty arrangements will also stay unchanged: We did not raise those last year, regardless of the VAT raise.
